This day in Sports marks a historic moment in NFL history. Today January 24 marks the special day for the San Fransico 49ers when the historic franchise won it's first of five Super Bowl's. It was 1982 where the Niner's beat the Cincinatti Bengals at Super Bowl XVI 26-21.

Joe Montana one of the greatest QB's of All-Time was named MVP for the game completing 14 of his 22 passes  for 157 yards & 1 touchdown, along with his 18 rushing yards & 1 TD. Bengals wideout Cris Collisworth was also a standout player that night with his 107 yards receiving. Collisworth retired in 1988, where he became a studio analyst for both FOX & NBC, where he's received six Sports Emmy's for outstanding work as a sports personality.
